The remote start on the Fusion works (yay!) with the correct configurable menus and everything in the "Vehicle" settings in MyFordTouch. But..

These stupid little fuckers are needed.

Kinja'd!!!

It's 2015 Ford, this is the best integration you can do!?

They're a lot smaller than I thought they were, which is good. But still, there's a blank space on the bloody switchblade for a button, why not utilize it?

Oh well, at least the car will be toasty on cold days now.

My dad did learn that the lower dash panel is on hinges and swings down to reveal all the wires, which I have to admit is pretty fucking nifty. Someone was using thinking of service techs when they dreamed up that idea. Contrary to GM's approach of 20 screws and easily breakable clips.

I couldn't into a separate remote just for remote start. I'd just leave that one inside the house, Haha.

My mom's basically just going to put in on her other ring of keys that she carries around in her purse that has the Silverado key and front door key on it. The other one will go on the spare set.

I have a feeling you get the little fob because it's an aftermarket installation, despite being a Ford system (correct?).

Our 2014 F150 has the remote start on the key, I think your Fusion would've been that way as well if it wasn't aftermarket.

You should inquire about a new set of keys that integrate the start functionality. You'll likely find that to cost a lot, which is why you got the fobs, or that it's not possible to program a stock key to handle that system.
